Wandering Winter

Crisp Winter Air, the haunting smell of cinders

makes the heat yearn for more and the imagination wander.

But like a lone wolf, my heart is a traveler

Throughout the rest of my life I am left to wander

START THE SILENCE

As of 12/26/14, I will only be writing posts on this blog and my newest blog. I need to declutter my stuff and start maximizing my life. I’ve loved writing for all of my blogs, but I need to refine my focus this new year. To those who follow my other blogs, please don’t be disheartened. I will post a list of other blogs to follow in their place.

Thanks!

When the confusion settles

Each turn seems wrong, each turn seems forced

Without help, without knowledge of life’s future course.

I run the race, I run the miles

Only to turn up wondering whether it is all worth while.

At one point when the confusion settles

I’ll be less concerned with who won the medals.

Life turns, life goes by

Maybe at some point I’ll be able to answer why.

Safe in the Ground

You were my pride, my promise, my prize.

The source of my flame and in the end my demise.

You were my life, my beginning, my ending song

The one I thought I could always depend on.

But life goes on, it goes fast, it doesn’t slow down

It just keeps tumbling, rambling until you’re safe in the ground.
